Formed in 1993, Brooke have been writing original songs for over three decades. Eschewing fashions, trends, and “scenes,” their music draws on influences ranging from ’90s alternative America to experimental British bands. The result is a uniquely sonic but urgent sound, driven by the emotionally fragile yet commanding vocals of Kev Verner.
The songs featured here were written between 1999 and 2006, and recorded by the hugely influential engineer John Hannon at No Recording Studios.
“The songs are an authentic and cherished experience of playing together. Our band is our friendship, and our friendship is our band.” – Brooke, 2025
